38 Special, Boogie Wonderland, and Tempted Fate Rock the Clyde for Summer Heat 2012 [PHOTOS]
The first ever Summer Heat concert lived up to its name, with temperatures soaring into the upper 80’s on a late June afternoon in the Twin Ports. Hundreds of people poured into the back lot at Clyde Ironworks to check out the fantastic show, with opening acts Tempted Fate and Boogie Wonderland kicking off the party for headliners 38 Special.
Local favorites Tempted Fate led off the evening, kicking things off with a fun, high-energy performance full of 80’s rock favorites including songs from Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses, and Journey. Boogie Wonderland took the stage next, bringing the funk with great costumes and groovy tunes to set the stage for the headlining act.
38 Special took command of the stage around 9pm with lots of energy, keeping the Summer Heat blazing even as the sun went down. The audience was treated to all of their 38 Special favorites, including Caught Up In You, Teacher Teacher, Hold On Loosely and a whole lot more.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fantastic show! We look forward to another amazing Summer Heat concert event next year and we hope you’ll join us!
