For more than 25 years, graduates have been invited to one last bash at the school. The event, which takes place the evening of graduation, is a drug, alcohol, smoke and cell phone free party. Instead, students enjoy food, games, prizes and a wide range of activities.   About 250 graduating seniors spend the night at the school, for one last party with some friends they may never see again as they head off in different directions.

Do to rising cost and that donations have almost stopped, and with the city of Superior  dropping support for the event by 2018. According to the Superior Telegram  "It’s just one last hurrah before they go into the big world," Urban said. Whether it happens is in the hands of the community.

I'm not sure I understand why it cost 16000 to put on one nights entertainment, is it the cost of using the school? How much is the DJ or the entertainer?  I live in Superior and graduated from SSHS and I believe in this event, but the cost just seems so crazy, and I do understand the time and what it take to put on events. Now is the time to help out and see what we can do.
