This might be a great way to get school supplies for kids and families that need it.

Maybe Duluth should do this. The city of Las Vegas has approved a program for a limited time that allows parking tickets to be paid with a school supply donation. This was agreed upon by the Las Vegas City Council. According to the press release, the program goes from June 19th to July 19th. It is for people that have parking tickets within that time frame, and only non-public safety citations are eligible.

I think they should extend it to anyone that has to pay, during that time frame. So if you had a ticket anytime if you pay during that time, you pay with school supplies.
