Editors from the Farmer's Almanac compiled the list by reviewing very specific factors - starting with population; This list looks at cities with more than 50,000 people. (Which is why some of our other northland communities don't make the grade; Hello, Embarrass or Tower) They also compared wind, precipitation, and temperature.
