Like so many events last year, West Duluth's Spirt Valley Days was unable to happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, the summer of 2021 is seeing the return of so many of those events once again. Joining that roster of events returning after a year off is Spirit Valley Days, which celebrates the community in the western portion of Duluth.

The event, which has been held annually (except for last year) since 1979 is traditionally held in the early part of August. This year, those dates are Wednesday, August 4 through Friday, August 6, marking the 41st year of the community festival.

Organizers behind Spirit Valley Days shared a message via Facebook last week, detailing the dates of this year's event along with a bit of the history and a note of gratitude for the various businesses and sponsors that make it all possible each year.
