Another small business is calling it quits due to COVID-19.

Waters of Superior, a retail store in Canal Park that sells regional art, jewelry, women's clothing, and other home and gift items is closing its doors for the last time on October 25th.

Co-owners Jeff Frey and Craig Blacklock told Business North that while the store is currently making a profit, the outlook is grim and they say it would be impossible to make it through the winter and spring seasons. They say that the decline in convention business has "significantly contributed to the revenue decline."

Waters of Superior will start a going out of business sale tomorrow, Friday, September 11th, and it will run through their final day. They want to make it clear that the artists will be taken care of during the closing, saying, "We want to emphasize that we will dramatically reduce prices during our closing sale, but all artists will receive their full payment for the original prices of their works."

Waters of Superior has been open in Canal Park for over 20 years and it's sad to see a small business have to close its doors even though they did nothing wrong, I for one wish them the best of luck in any future endeavors.
