Warrant Resolution Day Planned For October 25
Officials with the Public Defenders Office and the St. Louis County District Court in Duluth are working together to get the word out about a Warrant Resolution Day event planned for Thursday, October 25. The event will happen from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Damiano Center: 206 West 4th Street in downtown Duluth.
During the event, individuals with outstanding warrants will have the opportunity to speak with a public defender or prosecutor, arrange to pay outstanding fines, or have a hearing before a Sixth Judicial District judge regarding their warrants. In addition to local judges and court staff, representatives from the Sixth District Public Defender’s Office, the Duluth City Attorney’s Office, St. Louis County Probation, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, and the Driver Diversion Program will be on site during the event.
This is an excellent opportunity for those with outstanding warrants to simplify the process towards getting them resolved. In addition, organizers have worked to make the goal towards helping people who take part in the process avoid being arrested or detained for having an outstanding warrant. Local justice partners will make their best efforts to resolve an individual’s case or cases during the event.
