Fargo-based clothing retailer Vanity announced this week plans to close all of their 130+ stores around the country this year. The Duluth News Tribune is reporting that stores will remain open to sell remaining inventory and are expected to be closed nationwide within the next month or so.

The company made the decision to close the stores after filing for bankruptcy. Minnesota is home to the most stores of any state, with 13 listed on their website, while Wisconsin has 9. Regional locations impacted include in Duluth at the Miller Hill Mall, Grand Rapids, and Brainerd.

This news comes on the heels that another clothing retailer is closing a number of stores. J.C. Penney announced plans last week to close 130-140 of their stores, though specific locations have not yet been made public.
