There are no classes scheduled for students who attend Superior Public Schools on Monday, January 20 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  That said, a lot of parents will be looking for activities to keep their families busy and considering that we're in the middle of January, indoors can (sometimes) be better than outdoors.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has the answer.  They're inviting grade school kids - in kindergarten through Grade 5 - to the Marcovich Wellness Center for a Kid's Day Off event.  The activities will happen from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM - so essentially all day long.

There will be a lot of activities on top - coordinated by Adventure Zone.  Kids can take part in rock climbing, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and the "Adventure Zone".  All kids in the qualifying grade levels are invited to attend; cost is just $30.00 per child.  The deadline to register is Friday, January 17 at 12 Noon so that they can make plans to accommodate those attending.

To sign up, email Jarod Meyer at UWS (jmeyer49@uwsuper.edu) with the child's name, age, parent/guardian information, and a phone number and email for contact information.
