Rudy Hummell came on the KOOL morning show and talked about sleeping outside for 365 days. At first it was just a dare for himself, but he made it into a fundraiser for Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity and the Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory.

Minnesota winters are brutal, and it got down to 76 below, but he did it. When the winter gave it's best and the temps were unbearable, he was still out there. His mom said they had a deal, that if he was shivering he would come in. He never did. She only ever checked on him once, not because she is a bad Mom, but because she trusted him and knew he would not put himself in dangers way.

Rudy Hummell,  a 17-year-old Boy Scout mostly slept seven feet up in a tree near his parents' house. He slept outside in 30 different places. He was also featured in newsprint, tv, radio, and other medias from around the world.

Just a congrats to Rudy, it was nice to meet you and I hope you inspire other people.
