A sure sign that winter is winding down is that 2021 Twins Spring Training has begun! The Twins announced details on their telecast, which will include a fan favorite in the broadcast booth.

According to TwinsBaseball.com, FOX Sports North will telecast 13 Grapefruit League games featuring the team.  The FOX Sports North crews will consist of play-by-play voice Dick Bremer alongside Twins alumni LaTroy Hawkins and, for the first time ever, Twins Hall of Famer Johan Santana.

While the first telecast is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3 when Minnesota hosts the Boston Red Sox at Hammond Stadium, fans will have to wait a bit for Santana to make his debut.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner, who was also a part of four division-winning Twins teams, will debut as part of a three-man booth on Friday, March 26 when the Twins play the Atlanta Braves at 5:00 p.m.  He will then join Dick Bremer for the Saturday, March 27 game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

As for the other televised games, seven will be simulcasts featuring a combination of FOX Sports North cameras, graphics and replays, accompanied by analysis and play-by-play from radio broadcasters Cory Provus or Kris Atteberry, and Dan Gladden. An additional three simulcasts will take the opponents’ broadcast feed (Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 24 at Tampa Bay, and March 19 at Atlanta).

All the games will also be streaming live on FOX Sports GO, which is available via the FOX Sports GO app.

If you can't get to Florida to enjoy warm weather and watch baseball, this is the next best thing.
