Now that we know the seeds and where everyone is going to play, I don't know if you noticed there is at least one Minnesota team in each bracket.

Alpha News MN is confirming all 5 Division 1 schools from the State of Hockey (Minnesota) made it into the NCAA this year, a first for that. UMD is seeded 3rd and in Fargo. Minnesota State is seeded 2nd in their bracket. Minnesota is seeded number 2 overall and 1 in their bracket. Bemidji State is seeded number 4 in their bracket, and St. Cloud State is seeded number 2 in their bracket.

Because there is at least one Minnesota team in each bracket, there is a chance that all the teams from Minnesota could be in the Frozen Four, and then create an all Minnesota Final. To my knowledge, there have been Finals with two teams from the same division play each other like when Denver and UMD played.

KARE 11 reported that the NCAA announced the teams who had made the 16 team tournament on Sunday with the puck dropping on the 26th, with Bemidji taking on Wisconsin.

I know that it was chaos to select the finalists this year because some of the teams played full schedules and some never played outside of the division. The pairwise wasn't accurate to pick a team and how they did against other teams in the nation, polls had to make guesses in the first few polls because some teams weren't playing yet when they were rated nationally.

UMD is the defending champion even though they won last in 2019, there was no NCAA tournament last year.
