Do you have a tree on your property that would make the perfect Christmas tree?  Organizers are getting ready for the holiday season in downtown Duluth and they're looking for a tree than can preside over the festivities in the park at the corner of Superior Street and Lake Avenue.

Minnesota Power - an Allete Company - has posted their annual solicitation on their Facebook page, looking for people who may have just that sort of tree to donate to the cause.  There are a few general requirements before making your application to be considered: The tree needs to be between 35 and 40 feet tall, has to be currently located within 10 miles of its eventual destination in downtown Duluth, and needs to be near road access to allow the harvester to approach it.

Obviously the tree would also need to be visually appealing.  That's why organizers are soliciting nominations so that they can scout out the perfect specimen.

If you have a tree like they're describing and would like to nominate it, click here to visit their website.  Nominations need to be in by October 31.  The eventually-selected tree will be placed in it's holiday resting spot by Friday, November 16 in time for the parade.
