The Wonders were a fictional group conjured up by Tom Hanks in the movie THAT THING YOU DO.

The Wrap is reporting that the band plus co-star Liv Tyler will reunite for a special live event. Part of the reason is to honor Adam Schlesinger who died of COVID 19 and to raise money for MUSIC CARES COVID 19 Relief Fund which goes to support musicians and touring professionals out of work due to the coronavirus. Schlesinger is the one who wrote all the music for the film and was one of the members of Fountains Of Wayne that made "Stacy's Mom" a big hit.

Liv Tyler and band members Tom Everett Scott, Johnathon Schaech, Ethan Embry, and Steve Zahn will be doing a live YouTube channel event. The Wonders have their own channel that will feature this event, so keep an eye out.

I recommend the movie, Tom Hanks wrote, directed, and starred in it. It's about a band set in the 60s very similar to the Beatles in the way they rise to fame in a short time. Within the movie is a love story that grows between Guy Patterson (Tom Everett Scott) and Faye (Live Tyler). The band gets discovered, gets a part in a movie, goes on a big tour, and even appears on a show similar to Ed Sullivan.
