The Black Crowes Postpone Their Xcel Energy Show
Chris and Rich Robinson had planned a tour to celebrate the 30th year of the release of their huge record "Shake Your Money Maker".
They had planned many stops and were planning to play the album in its entirety. With the postponing that means that fans that purchased tickets can hold on to their tickets and they will be honored at the rescheduled show.
According to the Xcel Energy Center, a new date has not been set yet but the band is looking at new dates.
An official statement is found on Ticket News about the postponement:
The Shake Your Money Maker Tour was set to kick-off in Austin, Texas mid-June,......along the way, they would have stopped at outdoor amphitheaters throughout the summer .... before wrapping-up at The Forum in Los Angeles late September.
The Robinson brothers have not played together for six years. According to Ticket News it even canceled a small intimate acoustic tour the brothers had set up.
The Shake Your Money Maker Tour was the whole band getting back together to play the historic record front to back. On the Black Crowes, website it talks about how that album vaulted the band immediately to the top and put them on the map to tour with giant bands like AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, and other huge bands.
The website speaks about how with the success came the fighting and destroyed the creative process within the band because the fighting mostly came from the brothers Chris and Rich. 30 years later the band understands the success that album brought them and was excited to play it through and adding their other hits within the concert.
The Black Crowes say to go to their website to join email and text delivery services to stay up to date.
