The Tour of What!?!

Arguably the greatest rock band in history is coming back to Minneapolis, this time at TCF stadium on June 3rd.  The band announced the tour this morning, with a kick off starting May 24th in San Diego.  All tickets for US concerts starts April 13th at 10am.

Dire Straits made music history, and great music while they were together. Since that time the band has not been performing. Mark Knopfler has moved on to other things. The rest of the band has been growing weary and wanting to do something. Maybe forge farther in into the future and add to their legacy.

The Stones have uploaded a photo with the titles of 22 songs written on it to their official Twitter account. The band is rehearsing in Europe right now for their upcoming four-date tour, and it's a list of songs they’re rehearsing. Here’s the Stones playlist along with the songs I'd swap to substitute. I've highlighted my picks (swaps) in black. Let me know what you think.

Technically, he’s a little late, but Peter Gabriel‘s fans probably don’t mind at all. On June 29, Gabriel will launch his ‘Back to Front’ tour, marking the belated 25th anniversary of his superstar-making fifth solo album, 1986′s ‘So.’

Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsay Buckingham has announced 15 tour dates across the west coast in support of his new ‘Seeds We Sow’ album. The run of dates will begin on May 3, and will be a one-man show.

2011 found Sting in a retrospective mood, celebrating both his 60th birthday and 25 years as a solo artist. Early indications are that he will continue to follow that same path this year with summer tour dates spotlighting hits from his solo career and the Police.

Rev up that big ol’ jet airliner — the Steve Miller Band are back on the road. The tour, which will take the group through 10 countries in seven months, kicks off May 20th at the Doheny Blues Festival in California and winds down in Vienna, Austria on November 4th.

Fifty two. That’s not their average age, but the amount of dates that Crosby, Stills and Nash have scheduled for their upcoming summer tour.

Kiss and Motley Crue will team up for a formidable tour this summer, and based on what Crue singer Vince Neil is saying about the joint production, their respective road crews are going to have their hands full.

A retrospective look at Andy Warhols' artwork will tour five Asian cities over the next three years. The exhibit will be the pop art icon's largest ever in Asia. It will include over 300 paintings, photographs, screen prints, drawings and sculptures.
