Daryl is the new person at Animal Allies to talk to us about pets that need a new forever home. He was talking about a few things coming up and let us know who our new pet of the week is, and it's got a familiar name.

Stephanie called in this morning to talk about the pet of the week, and we discovered he is a good sized boy, a German Shepard, and he is a happy boy.

Jennie stopped by on the 7 in a Row Morning show to talk pets. She mentioned the name storm, and I thought that meant the pet was a Tazmanian Devil, not the case, Jennie said he just wants to go home with someone, but he has some special needs.

Jennie called this week talking about Jensen. She said he is kind of awkward because he has the head of a chocolate lab, and the body of a terrier. He is playful like a puppy, but is house trained and it is unknown whether he knows sit and stay.

Jennie visited with me this morning and we talked pets and some of the things going on at Animal Allies. This month adopt a 6 month or older cat for only $25, a great way to get that cat you always wanted but couldn't afford.

Jennie and I talked this morning about the pet of the week. The name leads you to believe that this cat is from New York and wears a leather jacket, fagetaboutit!!!

Stephanie from Animal Allies came on the show to talk about animals. She stressed that it is better to come in to the shelter to pick out an animal for yourself, or give a gift certificate if you would like to give a pet. Here's the pet of the week.

Jenny checked in to tell us about their huge adoption event this weekend. Prices are low so people can take home pets. Why not take in Mom and get her a pet.

There's news on the operation of the animal shelter in Superior.  The City of Superior approved a new management agreement and it goes into effect as of May 1.  That contract allows for the Humane Society of Douglas County to run the operation at 2225 Hill Avenue.
