Wisconsin Schools Will Be Closed Until at Least April 6th
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers closes the state's schools starting next week.
The Governor ordered all K-12 schools in Wisconsin to close from March 18th through at least April 6th. Superior schools were already on spring break next week, so this will extend that break at least two more weeks.
Amy Starzecki, District Administrator for the School District of Superior, said in an email to parents, "I am so proud of how all staff, students, and families worked together today to prepare for the possibility of this order coming during our spring break. You make me proud to be a SPARTAN! Enjoy your spring break. We will send out communication about what distance learning will look like to all families in the days to come, prior to the end of spring break."
Duluth and other area Minnesota schools remain open for now, but that could change at any moment as things are moving very quickly. Make sure notifications are on in the MIX 108 mobile app for up-to-date breaking news about this situation.
