Joe Thomas is one proud Dad, as his little 9-year-old daughter reeled in a whopper of a fish recently on a Minnesota lake. Thomas who is originally from Brookfield Wisconsin, a Milwaukee suburb not too far from where I grew up played in the NFL as an Offensive Tackle for 11 years with the Cleveland Browns.

According to Wikipedia Thomas played football for the University of Wisconsin Madison where he earned All-American Honors. He was drafted third overall in 2007 and did not miss a single game until his final season in 2017. He is regarded as one of the best Offensive Tackle of all time. No word on what he was doing on Lake of the Woods, he currently is an analyst on the NFL Network and also is a partner in several Mission BBQ Restaurants.

As reported by KARE11, as you can see and hear from the video I think his daughter stayed more composed and calm than any of the guys on the boat. Thank goodness she has a former NFL player for a dad because that fish was a beast and had to be super heavy to pull up in the net. My favorite is the guy holding the camera you can see him hopping up and down as the camera is all over the place while she is reeling it in.

No word on if they kept the fish or not, but I am guessing with one that size that his little girl caught it is sitting above the mantel at their house right now.! Spectacular!
