‘Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition’ Open Again at Mall of America
Now is probably not a great time to take a Roman holiday, but you can see one of its most popular attractions at the Mall of America.
'Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition' was reopened at the Mall of America after having to close during the latest state lockdown, the exhibit will be open daily through Easter Sunday, April 4th.
The exhibit features reproductions of the world-famous ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel located at Vatican City in Rome. The full size reproductions are displayed much closer than the originals, which are mostly 60 feet high on the ceiling of the historic chapel, giving the viewer a detailed look at the works of art.
The exhibit is located on level two of the North Atrium and tickets can purchased online before your visit, adults are $19, kids ages 6-18 are $12, kids 5 and under are free and there is a family ticket bundle available for 2 adults and 2 kids for $45. When buying tickets you must select a date and time for your visit to the exhibit.
'Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition' is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 AM - 6 PM and Friday/Saturday from 10 AM - 8 PM. COVID safety protocols mandated by the State of MN, CDC, and by the Mall of America are enforced within the exhibit space.
