Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office Continutes Investigation Into Casino Assault

Officers with the Saint Louis County Sheriff's Office continue their investigation into an assault that took place June 22, 2014 at Fortune Bay Casino near Tower.

The victim of the assault was lured to the casino by Calli Padgett of Virginia, Minnesota via a posting on a match-making website.  When the male victim arrived, Padgett led him down a path to a predetermined location behind the casino where he was attacked and beaten by Dalton Richard, also of Virginia and a 16-year old juvenile male from Gilbert, Minnesota.

The victim was transported by to Ely Hospital by ambulance where he was treated for multiple head injuries.

Padgett, Richard, and the juvenile make were later located and arrested for Conspiracy and Second Degree Assault.
