Heads up if you buy pre-cut and and ready-to-eat veggies and dip at deli cases or other convenience stores "grab-n-go coolers":  There's a recall affecting a particular brand made by a Minnesota-based company.  Russ Davis Wholesale of Wadena is voluntarily recalling individual serving cuts of Mixed Veggie Cup with Dip because it may contain an undeclared allergen.  That undeclared allergen of concern is eggs.

No known medical issues or reported illnesses have been reported to date.  The origin of the recall is based off of concerns that were raised during a routine label audit performed by a Quality Control Team.  During that audit, the Quality Control Team discovered egg - which was noted on the dressing ingredient label, but it wasn't noted on the finished product label.

According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs runs the risk of serious life-threatening allergic reactions if these products are consumed.  Again, no known illnesses have been reported at this time.
