Oh no!  A bad case of Strep has forced perennial rocker Rod Stewart to reschedule his Twin Cities concert; Rod was scheduled to perform at the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday, August 15.  That show will now be held at the Excel on Sunday, October 14.  The illness has also caused him to reschedule his August 14 show in Kansas City, Missouri.

The news of the cancellation (and eventual reschedule) came from the rocker himself - via a release from the Xcel Energy Center.  Rod said:

"Gutted that strep throat has left me unable to perform this week in Kansas City and the Twin Cities. Thanks to the fans and promoters for their support and swift rescheduling - I look forward to seeing you in October."

According to Xcel Energy Center officials, the venue will honor all tickets already sold at the October show.  Those that wish can also obtain a refund at the point of purchase.
