Rob Grill - the on-again, off-again lead singer of the Grass Roots passed away on Monday, July 11th due to complications from a head injury.

From the mid-1960s to the mid-’70s, the Grass Roots were a fixture on the airwaves and a regular presence on “American Bandstand.” They sold tens of millions of records and had more than a dozen Top 40 hits. Among their best known are “Let’s Live for Today,” “Midnight Confessions,” “Temptation Eyes” and “Two Divided by Love.”

Over the years, Grill would leave the band only to re-join it later;  At one point, he managed an incarnation of the Grass Roots that didn't feature himself as a performer.  He also had some rough times.
