Relationship Lite, The New Booty Call Is Fast Gaining Popularity

I decided to write about Relationship Lite today for those who are not familiar. We all at one time or another are in some type of relationship. Marriage, serious dating, casual dating, or simply friendly relationships. Relationship Lite, unlike marriage and dating is free of the encumberances that come with those mentioned. You do our deal, you enjoy yourself, and then it's see you later...maybe.

Unlike traditional relationships where two people are joined at the hip and go through everyday problems together, (health, job loss, money, raising kids etc), each person in a relationship lite encounters the same everyday problems, but the difference is, they go through them by themselves. So, what holds the relationship together? A couple things. First, you must be attracted to the other person. You must enjoy spending the time you have together, and finally...sex.

There are no strings attached to this type relationship. No movies, dinner dates, any of the rituals we all go thru in a traditional relationship. There are no promises, there are no guarantees, and the relationship can end when either one wants it to.  If this sounds cold to you, most people who have been in a relationship lite, and gone their separate ways, still remain friends.There are no broken hearts here.

If all this sounds good to you, there are some cons as well, mainly these types of relationships don't last long. There are those that  have lasted for years, but most don't because the longer they last, the more we become inclined to phase into a traditional relationship, and that's why we got into a relationship lite in the first place.

This type of relationship is not for everyone, to be sure, however it does have it's place in society, if for no other reason that it keeps us totally free and unburdened from the day to day problems we all encounter in traditional relationships.
