Several months ago I received a letter from an account saying due to an accounting error, I had a credit of 0.01 cent. At first I figured it was some sort of scheme, or a joke, but after four more letters saying the same thing, I kept on asking myself "What am I supposed to do about it"? It's only a penny, I can't buy anything for a penny, so why not credit it to my account?

Yesterday I received another letter in the (that's five total now) from the same company  Enclosed was a check for one cent. While I appreciate the company's honesty, I can't help but wonder if there wasn't a more efficient way they could have handled the situation.
