Paul Stanley, one of the lead singers for the rock group KISS spoke recently about how kids are losing their hearing at an alarming rate. He also addressed living with a birth deformity with his right ear, and being born deaf on that side.

Paul Stanley, has teamed-up with the non-profit House Research Institute on a major initiative called "It's How You Listen That Counts" to educate millions of teens around the world on preventing noise-induced hearing loss.

Kids are listening to iPods, and other devices and their hearing is disappearing. What to do? He explains in this video.

He also talks about how isolated he felt because of his condition and how it motivated him. What is interesting to me and made me want to feature this interview, was the fact that Paul saw opportunity to change and be his own person. He is also a parent and sees that kids have more devices that can hurt their hearing.
