We have definitely missed these two restaurants so this is great news! OMC Smokehouse and Corktown Deli & Brews are reopening - with a twist.

The two popular eateries will merge together and open as one deli-style restaurant: OMC Express And Deli. The new deli will open on Wednesday (April 22nd).

According to KBJR, the two merged restaurants will "offer a hybrid menu" with favorites from both, including ribs and sandwiches. It will be served in a grab-and-go style where customers can order and receive their food in about five minutes or less.

FOX 21 also reported on the merge and just how the new restaurant will operate. For now, customers can enter through one door at the old Corktown Deli & Brews location, order their food, receive it quickly and exit out the other door. This is all, of course, an effort to cut down on interaction amid COVID-19.

Corktown Deli & Brews will continue on as OMC Express And Deli after things return to normal. As for OMC Smokehouse, they do offer take out a few days throughout the week and will remain as they are.

I went to Corktown Deli & Brews right when they opened in 2018 and it is one of my favorites. I am excited to see they are reviving it and giving it new life.

As mentioned, the new deli will be located in Corktown's old spot in the Lincoln Craft area at 1906 West Superior Street.
