A bridge project that is already under way will affect North Shore drivers for the next month and a half.  Drivers on Highway 61 near Little Marais will be diverted to a single-lane bypass as work continues on the new Highway 61 Bridge over the Little Marais River.

Traffic will be controlled using a temporary signal system.

Motorists will be required to use the bypass until Nov. 1 when the new bridge is scheduled to be completed.  The new bridge is part of a Hwy 61 reconstruction project that will improve safety and ride quality.
