Plans are under way to design and build a new World War I Memorial at Duluth's Memorial Park; the new design would replace an existing memorial that is currently beyond its life-cycle.

In order to solicit opinions on the design from the general public, organizers have planned a series of meetings.  The first of those two meetings is coming up on Monday, April 16 - 6:30 PM at the Evergreen Center:  5830 Grand Avenue in Duluth.  Everyone is invited to take part.

After soliciting opinions and ideas, the project will move on to the design phase. Organizers with the City of Duluth hope to have construction happen yet this summer with a completed new memorial ready for Veterans Day in November 2018.
