New iTunes Scam Makes You Think Someone Bought Something
I was almost roped into the scam until I looked at the return address, but not everyone would think to do that.
I was casually looking at emails and trying to see if there were any sales I missed or ideas for gifts for a couple of people on my list. I see an email saying thank you for your purchase, it then says if this isn't you, follow the instructions to sign in and dispute this purchase.
You are then brought to a website that looks like the iTunes website and you sign in and they know everything to get your credit card and purchase gift cards and rob you blind.
Here's something to do. Look at where the email comes from. Check with iTunes to make sure it's from them. The most important thing to remember, NEVER sign in to a website from the email. It might be a scammer trying to get your information. I have included a link to read how to spot it.
