Minnesota Mile Is September 6th
The last of all the Grandma's Marathon Races and the third year it will be run on Duluth's Skyline Parkway.
The race was run on Superior Street, but with construction, the race had to make some decisions. So, they moved up by the Enger Golf Course. Friday, September 6th, the first race will begin at 6 pm.
The course is now one of the most beautiful ones with views of the trees and hills and peeks at Lake Superior and St. Louis bay, but obviously shorter than the other 5k and 4k races. The Race will start at the Enger Park Golf Course and runs east on Skyline, and the one-mile loop continues past Twin Ponds and then finishes on Hank Jensen Drive.
The event – hosted by Grandma’s Marathon – is open to runners of all abilities. The option to register as a team is a feature that was introduced last year as a unique opportunity. Participants are encouraged to create a team with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers for a chance to earn Team Awards. All groups and individuals can register online at grandmasmarathon.com.
Keeping with tradition, the Minnesota Mile offers runners an exclusive opportunity to secure a spot in the 2020 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, as 150 finishers (ages 12 & older) will be randomly selected to receive guaranteed entries into the half marathon scheduled for June 20, 2020.
