The pink eye epidemic has spread into the Milwaukee Brewers clubhouse, so the team is invoking a new rule to stop the spread of the infection: no more high-fives. That's right, the most popular way that athletes celebrate is now banned by the team so players, coaches, and other staff members do not contract pink eye.

Catcher Jonathan Lucroy and pitching coach Rick Kranitz got infected on Thursday and will now be staying home for 48 hours to prevent it spreading around the team clubhouse. "We've been going through it for awhile, and it seems like a couple of more show up every day," manager Ron Roenicke said. The team will not lift its ban until the outbreak is over.

Hopefully, the pink eye epidemic will not affect the team's famous sausage race.
