McDonald’s Offering Free Meals To Healthcare Workers

McDonald's is honoring those working hard on the front lines to keep us safe amid COVID-19.

According to a press release from the company, free meals will be given out to healthcare workers and first responders, including police officers, firefighters and paramedics, effective immediately. This initiative began Wednesday (April 22nd) and will continue through Tuesday, May 5th.

The meals are being called "Thank You Meals" and can be picked up via drive thru or carry-out at any McDonald's location. Those who fall under the criteria for the meal will not be charged.

First responders and healthcare workers can cash in on the free meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast will include a breakfast sandwich of your choosing, a soft drink, tea or coffee and a hash brown on the side.

Lunch will feature your choice between a double cheeseburger, six-piece chicken McNugget or fish sandwich, any size soft drink, tea or coffee and a small french fry.

The meals will come with a note of appreciation - which is incredible. The free food will also come in a Happy Meal box "in hopes of bringing a smile along with delicious food."

First responders and healthcare workers can feast for free once per day. All you need to do is show a valid I.D. Thank you for all you do!

Sam's Club is another example of a business going above and beyond for healthcare workers in these trying times. They recently announced they were offering a special two-hour period each weekend for those in healthcare to shop their stores alone.
