Marcia Hale's famous lights have found a new home, and that's really a great thing. Marcia Hale's home on Park Point for many years was a destination for locals to go and walk through her huge light display. The lights covered her entire home and yard on the shore of Lake Superior. Santa Claus even made some visits and there was always hot chocolate and cookies. The light display even made national television with ABC's Great Christmas Light Fight. We brought our kids every year, but sadly last year Marcia said it would be her last.

Glensheen Mansion heard about this and reached out to Marcia. With some talking, Marcia agreed to donate her lights to Glensheen for their holiday decorations. Now, today, Glensheen is opening Marcia's Lights to the public to continue the legacy.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, the light display is open to the public from 4-9pm daily until December 28th, but close on Dec. 24th-25th. They will also be serving free cider and cookies in the Glensheen carriage house.
