Now that the Superior Aldi has been open for a couple of weeks, I'm starting to notice a lot of information about the store in the general media.  It seems like everyone on social media has something they love and want to share about the grocery store.  (Truthfully, these stories have probably always been around, but maybe I'm just noticing them more now that the Twin Ports has one)

One of the stories I noticed was a blog written by Lauren Greutman - who write a blog called I Am That Lady, which focuses on ways that families can save money.  One of her columns was titled "30 Must Buys At Aldi's"(sic)  - which details the specific products that she has found to be a good buy at the store.

Her suggestions include many items from the dairy, produce, and condiment sections at Aldi.

Aldi delivers a different way for consumers to shop for their groceries.  The store primarily stocks only one brand per item-type and that brand is usually one of their store-brands.  They also save costs by having customers manage their own shopping carts (I.E. - you get a cart by putting a quarter into the slot;  when you're done with the cart, you bring it back to retrieve your quarter - saving the company from having to pay someone to haul carts around).  Aldi also makes you bag your own groceries into bags that you bring along (Yes, you can get bags at the store - but they'll cost you).  They've also cut banking costs at most of their locations by only accepting cash - no checks or credit cards.  (Although at the Superior location, they do accept major credit cards).

Have you shopped Aldi yet?  If so - what do you think?
