In a perfect world we wouldn't have to point out the fact that if something is too good to be true it probably is.  However, we also live in a very-gullible society - where people fall for false claims and offers all the time.

The latest false offer is the supposed "Lifetime Passes" at fast food restaurants.

McDonalds.  Burger King.  Wendy's.  Pizza Hut.  Take your pick as to the name of the restaurant, the offer is primarily the same:  The scam teases that you can get a "Lifetime Pass" that will be good for free food indefinitely.  Usually this offer is tied to an anniversary year or date for the restaurant in question.  The offer comes in the form of a shared link on a social media platform like Facebook.  Users are invited to click a link to sign up and get their free stuff.  However, when the link is clicked - malware is usually the only thing you get for "free".

Let's review just for the record:  There is no such thing as a Lifetime Pass for any of these fast food chains.
