Kim Olson Talks About How He Wrote “Gitche Gumee Christmas”

Kim Olson is one of the featured artists on this years Christmas By The Lake CD. He is from the area and now lives in Los Angeles. I got to sit down with him and talk inspiration and what he has been up to since he left Duluth.

Kim grew up in the area and as he talks about he used to play at some of the clubs that have since closed, but they were the places everyone wanted to be seen at.

When asked what inspired the song, Kim tells me his full answer but basically talks about writing what you know about.
