Police ID Suspect Who Rammed Squad Cars in Busy Rochester Area
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department has identified the man who rammed multiple vehicles, including squad cars, in a busy area of the city on Thursday.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was captured. The incident happened around noon.
The man, who had an active arrest warrant, fled police in a vehicle and crashed into the two squad cars and a third vehicle before he abandoned his vehicle and tried to flee on foot, according to preliminary information released by police.
He was captured following the foot chase in the area of West Circle Dr. and 41st St. Northwest.
A customer at a Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union branch in the area of the ramming and pursuit reported the building went into a lockdown until the situation was resolved.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate the suspect was booked into the jail shortly after 10:30 Thursday night.
On Friday a Rochester Police Spokesperson identified the suspect as 40-year-old Manuel Hinojosa. Dakota County Court records indicate Hinojosa was wanted for a felony-level pattern of harassment charge.
No serious injuries were reported. Police have not yet released more information regarding the incident.
Hinojosa is awaiting arraignment in the Olmsted County Jail. Preliminary charges against the Apple Valley man are not yet available.
