Minnesota Woman Hit by SUV Left With Life-Threatening Injuries
Onamia, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is indicating that alcohol was a contributing factor in an incident Friday evening but left a Minnesota woman with life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary report issued by the State Patrol says 37-year-old Fawn Morse from rural Onamia, was walking in the middle of Highway 47 in Mille Lacs County when she was struck by an SUV. The collision was reported around 6:40 PM near a rural intersection located just southeast of Mille Lacs Lake at about 10 miles east of Onamia.
The State Patrol indicated that she was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Mora with critical injuries. The report also states that alcohol was involved on her part.
The driver of the SUV, a 57-year-old Chad Hummel of rural Onamia, and his passenger were not injured.
