Minneapolis Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Snowy Minnesota Highway
Isle, MN (MinnesotaNow)- The State Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal traffic crash that occurred while a winter storm swept across Minnesota.

Troopers across the state responded to 255 crashes between noon on Tuesday and 9:00 Wednesday morning. The injury count stands at 19.
The fatal traffic incident involved a pedestrian.

Minneapolis Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Snowy Highway Near Mille Lacs Lake
First responders were dispatched to the vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Hwy. 27 and 400th St., which is just under two miles from the southern corner of Mille Lacs Lake.
A sedan traveling north on the two-lane highway struck the pedestrian as she was crossing the road shortly before 6:30 Wednesday morning, according to the state crash report.

39-year-old Danielle Lee Boyd of Minneapolis was identified as the pedestrian. The State Patrol says Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene.
41-year-old Tyrone Clinton Smith of Isle was identified as the car driver. He was not hurt, the State Patrol says.
It’s not known if there was alcohol in Boyd’s system at the time of the crash. The state crash report also says there was snow and ice on the highway.
