The Minnesota Vikings begin their preseason schedule Saturday afternoon at home against the Houston Texans. With much of the attention this year being on the 'rookie' Quarterback J.J. McCarthy, there are still questions surrounding other players this year, too. One of those questions was just answered when the NFL handed down its ruling regarding a Minnesota Vikings wide receiver.

The Decision Was A Long Time Coming

Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison last year was stopped and cited for DWI in July of 2024, and was able to play the entire 2024 season while the court case surrounding his DWI played out. Addison was cited for DWI after law enforcement found "he was asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was blocking a lane on a freeway near Los Angeles International Airport."

Suspension Coming For Addison

The Minnesota Vikings announced today on social media that the National Football League would be suspending Jordan Addison without pay for the first 3 games of the regular season, meaning the purple will be without one of their receiving options, allowing defenses to focus on Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson.
