Target Embraces Pickleball Craze with 80 New Products
Target tries to be the trendy option in the world of big retail, and their latest line of products capitalizes on a popular sporting trend.
Over the last couple of years, this sport has exploded in popularity, increasing participation by nearly 40%, making it the fattest growing sport in America according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, it's currently estimated that over 35 million Americans play the sport, so it makes sense for Target to try and take advantage of the trend with a new collaboration on a line of products.

Target announced a new partnership with tennis and lifestyle brand Prince on a new limited edition line of Pickleball products called Prince for Target. With a collection of nearly 80 items from clothing to accessories, it looks like Target is full embracing the Pickleball craze.
Target says that items in the Prince for Target collection start at $9.99 and most products in the collection are under $50, making the products perfect for beginners that want to dabble in the sport, before dropping big bucks on better gear. The collection will be available starting on April 20th online and in store.
Target says that the two companies worked closely on the collection that features bright colors and patterns with matching paddles and other accessories. Some of the apparel options available in the collection will include pleated skirts and dresses, and retro mix and match tracksuits.
Jill Sando, executive vice president at Target, says, "Partnering with Prince is the perfect way to help pickleball enthusiasts everywhere enjoy the sport that is sweeping the nation, with quality pickleball apparel and sporting goods at prices only Target can offer."
