In this time of high inflation, especially for food, Target is going against the grain and offering a full Thanksgiving meal for a shockingly low price.

According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, the average cost of a Thanksgiving dinner in 2022 was $64.05, that price included turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls and butter, cranberries, veggies, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, plus coffee and milk for 10 people, and while the Target deal doesn't include all of this, it's still an unbelievable deal.

Target is offering the following for ordering online with same-day pickup and in-store:

  • Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey (Frozen) – 10 lb.
  • Good & Gather Russet Potatoes – 5 lb.
  • Good & Gather Cut Green Beans – 14.5 oz
  • Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup – 22 oz.
  • Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce – 14 oz.
  • Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix – 6 oz.
  • Heinz HomeStyle Roasted Turkey Gravy – 12 oz.

The price for all of this is only $25, Target says this will feed a family of four for a Thanksgiving meal.

I appreciate that Target has this option available, but I feel that most people aren't using Stove Top Stuffing or bottled gravy for a family Thanksgiving dinner, these options feel like a few college dudes who decided to make a Thanksgiving meal in their frat house.

And it's a little disappointing that dessert wasn't included in this deal, pumpkin pies are generally affordable, Target says they do have desserts available for $5 though, and I'm not sure why Target decided to include Cream of Mushroom Soup, maybe it's to make a Green bean casserole, but they didn't include any of the other ingredients.

Target is also offering some other low-cost Thanksgiving sides for $5 like Caesar salad, seasoned sweet potato, vegetables with lemon basil rice, and macaroni and cheese. You can also score some adult beverages like California Roots Cabernet Sauvignon red wine and Chardonnay white wine for $5.
