But Wait, There’s More! Minnesota State Fair Adds Country Music Legend Tanya Tucker To Grandstand Lineup
Nearly a month ago, it seemed as though the 2026 Minnesota State Fair Grandstand lineup was set.
As I shared back at the beginning of June, there was one open date left on the schedule that fair's organizers filled with gospel music superstar Cece Winans. It turns out the fair wasn't done adding names to the Grandstand lineup after all.
No, they didn't add another day to the fair (which would be pretty awesome). Rather, a legendary voice in country music is being added as a guest to one of the existing Grandstand headliners on the schedule.
This morning (June 24), the Minnesota State Fair announced that none other than Tanya Tucker would be joining Sierra Ferrell as a special guest at the end of August.

Tucker has enjoyed a long, successful career with numerous nominations and award wins from the CMA, ACM, and Grammys, among others.
First hitting the scene in the early 1970s with the title track of her debut album "Delta Dawn" at the age of 13, she's made decades of hit songs.
Some of my personal favorites include "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane", "If Your Heart Ain't Busy Tonight", "Some Kind of Trouble", "It's a Little Too Late", "San Antonio Stroll", and "Strong Enough to Bend".
Tucker joins alt-country star Sierra Ferrell for the Grandstand show on Sunday, August 30.

Country music fans also have Brad Paisley and HARDY to look forward to at this year's Minnesota State Fair, but there are plenty of other acts spanning genres to enjoy for the 2026 Great Minnesota Get-Together. Here's the full Grandstand schedule for this year:
