Who would want to get out of their car and write a ticket in the pouring rain? That's something a lot of drivers may think when it comes to getting pulled over when it's raining. I've heard it from friends before, and I've thought about it myself. If I was a law enforcement officer I may let someone go because I didn't get wet. In this case, a distracted driver had to be pulled over and this story will leave you shaking your head.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office shared a photo on social media of a motorist being pulled over for going 25 miles per hour over the speed limit. The driver was going 90 miles per hour in a 65-mile-per-hour zone. Here's the kicker: the driver passed the sheriff's deputy.

The patrol car was driving along when the pickup truck blew past them at 90 miles per hour. The motorist was distracted on the phone and driving in reduced visibility. The squad car was fully marked that he passed, so obviously this person wasn't paying attention.

The Sheriff's Office reminds motorists to drive the speed limit or below during inclement weather. Make sure your headlights are on for better visibility in the rain. He also busted the myth that deputies don't want to get wet to write a ticket.
