Superior’s Head Of The Lakes Fair Announces Two Concerts, Including Grammy Winner
The Head of Lakes Fair recently announced that the fun would return to 4700 Tower Avenue in Superior beginning Tuesday, July 30, and run through Sunday, August 3.
While the Head Of The Lakes Fair provides a midway, food, and a variety of entertainment options like the recent MMA Beatdowns and Demolition Derby, one thing that had been lacking was live concerts.
I remember many years ago, concerts were a staple at the Head Of The Lakes Fair. Off the top of my head, I remember seeing Toby Keith, Firehouse, Blackhawk, Loverboy, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Trace Adkins, and more all performing in Superior and it was always a lot of fun, especially since the concerts were free with your gate admission.
If you've missed concerts being a part of the event, you'll be happy to know that concerts are returning this summer to the Head Of The Lakes Fair, organizers recently announced on social media.
The first announcement came on February 6, when they announced that a Grammy-nominated band would take the stage:
Wednesday, July 31st- Welcome Grammy-nominated Confederate Railroad at the Head of the Lakes Fair!
Come hang out while jamming to some southern rock! From "Trashy Women" to "Jesus and Mama", there will be something for everyone!
They added that as had been the case in years past, the Confederate Railroad concert would be free with fair admission and an opening act would begin at 6 pm. They also teased that another announcement was coming soon.
On February 8, the Head Of The Lakes Fair made its second concert announcement:
Honky Tonk, Blues, and Southern Rock are coming to the Head of the Lakes Fair!
The Kentucky Headhunters have been declared "the great American rock 'n' roll band" by Billboard magazine, and have a Grammy Award, three Country Music Awards, an American Music Award, and an Academy of Country Music Award- right in your backyard!
The Kentucky Headhunters will take the stage on Thursday, August 1st. An opening act will begin at 6 pm and the concert will be free to attend with gate admission.
Having live music, with national recording artists, will certainly bring a new level of fun this summer to the Head of the Lakes Fair!
