Had enough of the snow? Have you already breathed a sigh of relief that the latest snowstorm is over? I have some bad news for you - another storm system is on the way for the Northland and other parts of Minnesota.

The good news is that this storm system won't be anywhere near what we saw this week but it will be enough to make travel tricky, on top of some already hairy travel conditions lingering from the latest round of snow!

This week's snowstorm brought feet of snow to some places like Finland and Hovland! Lutsen and Grand Marais also got about two feet of snow. Parts of Duluth saw about a foot, although it was hard to tell because the snow blew it around so much.

I have lived here nearly a decade and do not remember a time that it was as windy as the gusts this storm brought! It was crazy and now we get to do it all over again, although on a much calmer level.

According to their forecast, the heaviest snowfall will track east, meaning we won't get hit too hard! In fact, we are looking at two to four inches at most, with northwest Wisconsin and the Arrowhead getting the most.

The good news is that the Duluth area, along with areas up the shore and all the way down to Hinckley won't see much. We will see about an inch or less, which is basically nothing! This is good news since we are still digging out of the snow.

As always, there will be some locally higher amounts of snow in Iron County but that won't impact us here. The snow will linger until the dinner hour on Saturday (February 21st). Even a little snow can cause travel havoc so plan your weekend accordingly!
