We had Doug, Mike, and Rich come in this morning to talk about the 10th annual Military Appreciation Day in Northern Minnesota.

Over the years, this local bar has raised tens of thousands of dollars for veterans. Some of the past donations have gone to honor flights, local VFWs, and most recently the 23rd Veteran.

Military Appreciation Day

It takes place Saturday, August 2 at The Clip Joint in Alborn, Minnesota. You can find them at 6697 Chase Dr, Alborn Minnesota.

There will be music, food, drinks, and competitions. They'll have a horseshoe tournament, a bags tournament, and even a live auction. The proceeds from the event will go directly to 23rd Veteran.

What does the 23rd Veteran Do?

23rd Veteran's vision is to give U.S. Veterans a future of hope, opportunity, community, and inner peace.

They offer veterans a unique 14-week full-exposure and holistic approach to removing the negative effects of trauma. 100% of graduates have reported living a happier and higher quality of life.

Each day, 22 veterans die by suicide in America. That's unacceptable. The goal of 23rd Veteran is to help give vets a chance to earn their happiness and have a better quality of life.

Schedule of events at Military Appreciation Day

The horseshoe tournament begins at 1 PM, followed by the flag retirement ceremony at 2 pm. Then at 3, the cornhole tournament begins.

There will be fun games and prizes throughout the day starting at Noon. We'll see you there!
