Sure, Grandma's Marathon weekend is a blast thanks to the fun of the races, the spectating and all the fun events around town. However, one of the very best parts of the weekend is the annual Michelina's All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner.

It should come as no surprise to you that it is officially back this year as Grandma's Marathon tackles its 47th year anniversary. The special meal has been around since the first Grandma's Marathon race weekend back in 1977, which is pretty cool.

The event goes on all day long and is not just for those running! Anyone can attend and take part in the weekend, which takes place at the Lake Superior Ballroom in the DECC on Friday, June 16th. Spaghetti is served from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

You can purchase tickets for the delicious feast at the door. Adults can feast for $16 with tax and children ages five to twelve can eat for $8 plus tax. Kids four and younger can eat free. The Finance and Operations Director says the event is a great place to mingle with the community and to even meet people from other parts of the world.

So what are you getting in this all-you-can-eat meal? Spaghetti, of course, is the star of the show, with marinara sauce and meatballs. There is also caesar salad, bread, cookies, ice cream, milk, water and coffee. You can also purchase beer.

Whether running or just spectating, make sure you feast at the Michelina's All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti dinner! It is reasons like this that Grandma's Marathon was just named the best race in Minnesota. (Okay, the dinner had nothing to do with it but it is still awesome!) The nice, mild weather helps too.
